Berlin-based PIK was founded in 1985 by four visionary engineers as a solution provider for television studio technology.
Shortly after its foundation, PIK AG developed into one of the largest dealers for professional video technology in the Berlin/Brandenburg area with first predominantly national and later also international projects. The company also expanded into the field of professional audio systems and sound reinforcement systems.
The rapidly changing market of media technology also demanded a flexible adaptation process from PIK. In 2004, the company was reorganized and renamed PIK AG. To this end, the company expanded its systems business to include the following business areas:
In 2005, CBS GmbH became a 100% subsidiary of PIK AG as a partner for service, repair and maintenance.
In 2006, PIK AG and CBS GmbH moved into their current company headquarters in Rathausstraße in Berlin-Mariendorf.
In 2008, under the management of Rainer Herting and Ingo Nolte, the fields of activity of PIK AG were extended by the business units Smart Home and in 2013 by the field of Voice Alarm Systems.
At the beginning of 2016, CBS GmbH was merged with PIK AG and integrated. This resulted in an own service and maintenance department, which completes the full service offer of the company.
